She is super passionate about being in the outdoors and is keen to share this with others. She gets great satisfaction from encouraging people to try new things and broaden their horizons and assures us this isn't just code for making people try eating bugs!

Dave Giles

Camp Director and Lead Instructor

More than twenty years ago, Dave studied Outdoor Education at college and hasn't looked back since! Whether he's out sailing or rooting around shelter building in the woods, Dave likes nothing more than introducing people to a challenge and encouraging them to succeed.

Dave has a very wide range of qualifications in both land and water based activities and is one of our most experienced, and loudest, instructors!

Aaleah Cabannes

Lead Instructor

Aaleah has worked as an outdoor instructor for the past three years. Initially enjoying the outdoors as a hobby, it quickly turned into a career when she decided to study Outdoor Leadership at University. Aaleah has a strong passion for teaching others and believes everyone has the potential to succeed.

As well as instructing, Aaleah loves nothing more than getting outdoors! She enjoys bushcraft, mountain biking, walking, paddling and especially climbing. But, there's nothing that satisfies her more than achieving something she initially thought to be impossible.

Tim Neale

Camp Instructor

Tim has worked as an outdoor instructor and expedition leader for many years. He is a former geography teacher and a qualified Mountain Leader and has worked extensively with school groups of all ages leading expeditions to places such as the Himalayas, Bolivia and the jungles of Borneo. He is passionate about helping young people succeed and gets the greatest reward from seeing people who doubted themselves suddenly finding their feet.

When not working, Tim enjoys running, cycling, mountain walking and generally being outdoors. He frequently sets himself new challenges, and is currently learning to ride a motorbike. In the past, he has caved around the world, including exploratory trips and finding new caves in Australia.

Tim has his own website where he offers his services as a Mountain Leader.
