Expedition Information For People Who Have Periods

Expedition Information For People Who Have Periods

For people who have periods, it can sometimes be hard to find the knowledge you need to feel comfortable going on adventure education experiences.

We have produced an information sheet all about this subject. On this page you will find two different downloadable versions of the sheet as well as the plain text that you can copy and use as you need.

While The Outdoors People retain the copyright we encourage any individual, organisation, or commercial company to make use of this information in any way they like, including replacing our branding with their own, so long as they provide a link back to us on their website.

We do ask that if you're modifying the text you leave it gender neutral, not everyone who has periods identifies as a woman.

Cold Water Immersion and Chest Binding

Many people find that they wish to reduce the apparent size of their breasts.

The Outdoors People have done an initial exploration into the effect this has during cold water immersion. We will be following this up with much more extensive testing next winter involving greater numbers of more relevant participants.

While The Outdoors People retain the copyright we encourage any individual, organisation, or commercial company to make use of this information in any way they like, including replacing our branding with their own, so long as they provide a link back to us on their website.

We do ask that if you're modifying the text you leave it gender neutral, not everyone who binds their chest identifies as either a man or a woman.
